Identity, Promises, Relationship, Righteousness

Victory Victory Victory!

Because of Jesus, WE have victory!  Nothing in ourselves could produce it. Not our behavior, sincerity or desire.  God Himself redeemed us by the blood of His son (making us righteous), and nothing we can do ourselves can produce victory in our lives outside of Jesus!

But thank God, He has overcome!

Those that put their faith in what Jesus has already done, ARE also world overcomers!

1 John 5:4-5 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

Revelation 12:11 they overcame them by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony

Romans 8:37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

Yes, we will have tribulation, trials and obstacles to overcome.  But Jesus has given us the victory!

John 16:33 “…. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

Psalm 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.

What does this mean?  Because of Jesus’ victory on the cross, we now have His victory, praise God!!

Are you expecting it?

Hebrews 13:8  Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

This means whatever the people of Jesus’ day could expect from Jesus when He was on earth, we can expect of Him today.  His physical presence is not required.  He didn’t even need to be physically present to release His power for those who could believe while He was on earth.  (See the story of the centurion in Matthew 8:5-13).  Jesus said, “… I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel” in response to his faith.  And the centurion’s servant was healed by Jesus’ word only; not His physical presence.

Jesus said in John 20:29,
“…Because you have seen Me, do you now believe?  Blessed [happy, spiritually secure, and favored by God] are they who did not see [Me] and yet believed [in Me].”

We now have Him within us.  Closer and more available than even being in his physical presence!

Colossians 1:27 To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Praise God!! Christ is in us.  Amen
