Jesus – The ONLY mediator between God and man

Jesus didn’t only save us from eternal punishment; He is our Savior and our Lord!  Every good thing God has given to us by grace comes through Him.  Jesus is the ONLY mediator between us and God.  ( 1 Tim. 2:5-6) We have access into this grace (God’s unmerited favor) by faith in what Jesus accomplished on our behalf.  We can now reign in this life, have success, peace, joy, prosperity, health and every good thing because of what Jesus did!  Anything we ask the Father in the name (authority) of Jesus, He will give to us!  Praise God!

Hebrews 9:15a And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant

Galatians 1:4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father

Romans 5:17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.

John 16:23 “And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.

Many devout and holy men and women have fulfilled their calling from God, being used to further His kingdom.  Praise God!  However, we must remember that all people have fallen short of the glory of God and all have sinned (Romans 3:23) --therefore ALL people still need Jesus as their Savior.  No human being having passed into Heaven or any angel has the power to intercede or mediate on our behalf.  Though we can esteem others who have gone before us, a cloud of witnesses; we may follow their example, but we should never give them the place that God has designated for His son and our Lord!

Hebrews 1:2-4 “….He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

In God’s eyes, all believers are equal as His children, saints (holy, set apart), and highly favored by God (Ephesians 1:6).   And the only one who could secure our eternal redemption and all the benefits of God’s grace is Jesus Christ.  Amen

If God hasn’t already given it to us by grace through faith in Jesus’s sacrifice, it isn’t ours to receive.  He purchased our salvation and this includes everything for this life.  Therefore we come boldly to the throne of grace (to God Himself) and receive every need we will ever have.  Hallelujah!

Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.  Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:14, 16)
