Faith, Grace, Salvation

Faith is the bridge to God’s grace

Sometimes when talking about faith, people get the idea that you’re trying to “get God to do something.”  This could not be further from the truth. Faith is simply believing whatever God has already said in His Word.

Jesus IS this Word.  During His earthly ministry, He demonstrated God’s will for us, and through His death and resurrection we have access to God’s grace.

John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us…..full of GRACE and truth.

John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy WORD is TRUTH.

Romans 8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

What is Grace?  God’s provision for man’s every need; spirit, soul, and body.  God poured out His grace for mankind through Jesus!

By grace, through faith (in what Jesus has done for us), we receive the promises of God!

Faith is the bridge that reaches over into the spiritual realm and lays hold of what God has given by His grace.  This is how salvation is received, and every good thing promised by God.

Romans 5:1-2 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by FAITH into this GRACE in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Praise God! Faith simply releases the power of God (what he has already supplied) from the spiritual realm to the physical realm.

Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ

When we believe and act in faith, these spiritual blessings become physical realities.

In Mark 11:22 Jesus said, “Have faith in God.”

The writer of Hebrews tells us, “The just shall live by faith” (Hebrews 10:38), and “it is impossible to please God without it.” (Hebrews 11:6)

If faith is important to God, then it is vital that we understand it, and learn to live by it, Amen.

Put faith in God’s word today
