About 10 years ago, I started experiencing a sore on my backside near my tailbone. At times it would get so tender I couldn’t sit or lay down without it hurting for a couple days. I had recently lost a lot of weight, and so I assumed this was probably caused by that, and aggravated by exercising or sitting for prolonged period of times. But this went on for several years without any topical relief from various over the counter options. The cyst would become painfully swollen, and ooze/bleed so often, I was adjusting my days because I couldn’t do some of the normal stuff whenever it was irritated. I finally went to the doctor, and she confirmed there was an infection causing the cyst. She talked about the likelihood of having to get it surgically removed. Even though it was good to finally know this was something that could be taken care of, and according to my doctor needed to be, I wasn’t too keen on having to have a surgery to remove it.
My husband encouraged me that it is good we now know what the problem is, and he spoke healing to this cyst, infection, and declared that I would NOT need surgery! Over the next couple weeks, I realized I wasn’t having any swelling or soreness and that the cyst was not visually obvious any more. That week, I was scheduled to meet with the doctor who would do the surgery; and when he examined me, he said, “I don’t see anything, there’s nothing here.” My husband said, “That was the fastest doctor’s appointment we’ve ever been too! Praise God! Infected cyst GONE for good!
